A fetish is an object or body part that a person is sexually attracted to.
Fetishes can include all kinds of objects, including shoes, clothes and body parts. Some people are also attracted to specific activities, e.g. bondage or spanking.
People with fetishes often have strong feelings about their “object of desire” and may feel that they need to have or use their fetish object in order to achieve sexual pleasure.
For some people, fetish objects are a way of expressing their sexuality, for others they can be a source of anxiety or insecurity.
If you think you might have a fetish, there's no need to feel embarrassed or ashamed. Sexuality is a very personal thing, and there is no such thing as "right" and wrong.
In this "online book", we will take a closer look at all the interesting things about sexual fetishes. What is it, who has them, how did they get them, how do you stand by them, how do you tell your partner about them and how do you get your partner along for the ride.
About the author
By the way, my name is Michael Fray, and I am a Danish sexologist and couples therapist.
My specialty as a sexologist is precisely "Fetich". I teach shame and to dare to stand by one's sexuality.
I myself have a fetish, and it is naturally the one that initially made me curious about becoming a sexologist. My own journey has gone from not daring to mention my own fetish and desires to my partner, to daring to stand on a stage and share my whole story. Oh yes, I've also been on TV, newspapers and podcasts with it.
I have spent the last several years studying my own fetish, and then late last week I discovered something new. So don't get frustrated if you haven't made it this far. You might also think you know everything about your own fetish. But lie to me if you don't discover something new one day. Maybe because you are reading this online book.
